Destination Belle Plaine 2040 (PDF) is the City's 2040 Comprehensive Plan update. Destination 2040's vision is "a perpetually sustainable, complete, and livable City for all people, seasons, and generations". Destination 2040 is based on five desired outcomes: stewardship, long-term economic prosperity, social equity, livability, and sustainability. Major themes are: balancing good places and new spaces; creating a prosperous and resilient City; creating a complete City; and being an authentic City that is genuinely a great, good place to live and do business.
